El proyecto "Semillas" aborda la problemática de los desaparecidos en el conflicto -no solo- colombiano y el reclutamiento de menores de edad. El paso del tiempo, la espera y lo efímero, juegan un papel primordial en las obras que varían entre el dibujo, la pintura, la instalación y el video.
Armas reconocibles para ambos lados de la disputa son plasmadas en pupitres de madera que el artista recoge en las zonas de la pugna. Se mezclan la intervención del artista y la de los hijos de esta problemática social, conteniendo así la temporalidad del conflicto en los objetos.
Tomando la región del Catatumbo como eje principal, Botero visibiliza situaciones ante las cuales nos hemos vuelto insensibles a causa del bombardeo de información que permanentemente nos estimula.
Yosman Botero se graduó como artista plástico de la Universidad de Antioquia, Medellín (2010). Ha participado en exposiciones colectivas como "Brand New”, Eugene Gallery, Korea (2012); “Colombia En Mérida / Macay”, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, México (2011); “Amnistía”, Museo de Arte Moderno Medellín (2009). También en ferias internacionales como ArtLima / Galeria Okio (2014); Pabellón Arte Cámara - ArtBo (2012); KIAF/12 Korea / Galería la Cometa (2012); Art Shanghai / Galería la Cometa (2012); SWAB Feria Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo Barcelona / La Nueva Galería (2011).
Entre sus muestras individuales encontramos “Immaterial Matter II”, Galería Okio, Caracas - Venezuela (2014); “Immaterial Matter", Galeria La Cometa, Bogota - Colombia, (2014); “Semillas”, Centro Cultural Border, México, (2014); y “Common Things”, Triumph Gallery, Moscú - Russia, (2013).
Algunas de sus distinciones son la Beca para la residencia artística “TerraUNA” en Brasil (2013); Mención especial en la II Bienal de Artes Plásticas COMFENALCO, Medellín y en el Salón Departamental de Artes visuales, Medellín (2009); y el 1er puesto en Premios Nacionales de Cultura Universidad de Antioquia - Salón Nacional de Artes Visuales (2007).

The project "Seeds" addresses the problem of missing persons in the conflict - not only - the Colombian one and the recruitment of minors. The passage of time, the waiting and the ephemeral play a primordial role in the works that vary between drawing, painting, installation and video.
Recognizable weapons for both sides of the dispute are embodied in wooden desks that the artist collects in the areas of the dispute. The intervention of the artist and the ones of the children of this social problem are mixed, thus containing the temporality of the conflict in the objects.
