Larry Muñoz

 A partir de diferentes medios y juntando materiales orgánicos, mecánicos y objetos cotidianos, el trabajo de Larry Muñoz hace visibles fenómenos, materiales y conceptos que siempre han estado presentes y que pasarían desapercibidos en otras circunstancias.

Reflexiona sobre las cosas que siempre han acompañado nuestra existencia para cuestionar nuestra visión del mundo. Parte de su trabajo involucra el uso de piedras, insectos, nidos, madera reciclada entre otros, y usa nuestra relación con estos como ejemplo del contacto y la forma de pensar la realidad en la que vivimos que resulta una construcción humana.

Vive y trabaja en Bogotá donde realizó estudios de Publicidad en la Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano. Larry fue el Ganador de Beca Residencias de Arte. URRA Buenos Aires, Argentina (2016). Ha participado en muestras como: Numeros Naturales, Galeria Beta (2016); Primer Salon de Artistas Jovenes Tokio – Japón (2015); La feria del millón (2015), Bogotá, Colombia; Os segredos da invisilidade - Hermes Artes Visuais, Sao Paulo, Brasil (2015); I´ll call you as soon as the sun goes down - Heiska Cultural Center, Hämeenkyro, Finlandia (2013).

Larry Muñoz's work makes visible phenomena, materials and concepts that have always been present and that would be unnoticed in other circumstances, from different media and gathering organic materials, mechanics and everyday objects.

He reflects on the things that have always accompanied our existence to question our vision of the world. Part of his work involves the use of stones, insects, nests, recycled wood among others, and uses our relationship with them as an example of the contact and the way of thinking of the reality in which we live that is a human construction.

He lives and works in Bogotá where he studied Advertising at the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University. Larry was the Residency Art Grant Winner, URRA Buenos Aires, Argentina (2016). He has participated in samples such as: Natural Numbers, Beta Gallery (2016); First Salon of Young Artists Tokyo - Japan (2015); The Million Fair (2015), Bogotá, Colombia; The Secrets of Invisibility - Hermes Visual Arts, Sao Paulo, Brazil (2015); I'll call you as soon as the sun goes down - Heiska Cultural Center, Hämeenkyro, Finland (2013).
